SIMULTANEOUS

As part of Art Month Ameland Kim Winder built an installation. about time and its perception. Time is not tangible, but you can be conscious of it's course through memory and an ever-changing world. Dwelling too long on the passing of time leads to a feeling of uncertainty, while not giving any attention to time, can speed it up without getting a grasp on it. Can we find a balance between being aware of time while letting go of sensing it simultaneously? Water resembles movement, change and history. Photography is used in this work in order to freeze time. The photographs are then further installed in a changing, disquiet environment underwater, which you can experience through a periscope.
